Current Identity
I am going to be selective when answering this question. My actual identity is multiple layers, involving more than one culture, more than one name, and more than one type. It gets pretty complicated, pretty fast. So it is not so much that I am withholding information out of secrecy, but because I do not think it is anything that would contribute more to the dialogue this blog is about, i.e. related to the Minoans.
I currently identify as Britomartis. Lore portrays her as both a mortal woman, and a goddess. It is my UPG (unverified personal gnosis), that at least some of the gods in ancient Cretan society, took on bodies made of flesh and bone, serving in various societal roles. The gap between the deities and the human was not as big as it is often perceived today. And not only did the incarnate deities impact humankind, but humanity greatly impacted the gods. They coexisted side by side, different at the core, but still somehow the same.
Being here in a body is part of who I am. A very integral part. Some gods remain distant, tied only to air, or to sea. But I am not one of those gods. What I am, and what I stand for, is so intricately tied to earth; tied to humanity, that part of the whole point is moving in and through flesh and bone. It always has been. It always will be.
